they do not talk because there is no medium present in moon. they do signalling or use a device which is wireless radio waves to talk. small radio signals are used by them . and also there is no air to convey your words.without any solid liquid or gaseous medium the sound cannot be transmitted.....

So, Astronauts talk in space through wireless sets using radio waves. This is because radio waves can travel even through vacuum (through sound waves cannot travel through vacuum).
