They talk with the help of radio detector and receptor devices because there is no medium for sound to propagate. So they can't talk with mouth .

For the sake of your convenience radio waves can travel in vaccum.
The mechanical waves of sound are converted to electromagnetic waves ( radio waves) .

since there is no medium to propagate sound in space. the astronauts use radio wave to communicate because radio waves can be propagate in vacuum...
