For the preparation of food, autotrophs obtain CO2 directly from the atmosphere from the stomata by the process of diffusion.

good morning!
autotrophs obtain CO2 from atmosphere as well as by the process of respiration in themselves. during respiration they intake O2 and releases CO2,, much amount of CO2 releases out while some CO2 remains stored for the process of photosynthesis.
