Autotrophs obtain CO2 from the air through stomata and obtains H2O from the soil through the roots.

(1) Co2 from atmosphere through diffusion stomata are responsible for this.
(2) N2 is absorbed from soil in the form of nitrates and nitrites. Nitrogen fixing bacteria convert atmospheric nitrogen into these forms and roots are responsible for absorption.
