The auxins are known to promote growth of the apical meristems of the plants , that is the elongation of the tip of the plant .
Auxins continuously grow cells in the zone which is away from the sunlight this extensive growth bends the plan towards the direction of the sunlight.

A detailed study tells that in normal atmospheric condition the auxins are equally spread in the plant and work systematically but as the sunlight falls it breakes down the auxin on the sunier side . While the auxin on the shadier side is protected and continues to divide cells to bend the plant towards sunlight .

This process is known as photomorphism .

HERE IS UR ANS BUDDY...

An auxin, is a plant growth hormone that helps regulate shoot growth. ... But when sunlight varies, auxin is broken down on the sunnier side of the stem. The higher concentration of auxin on the shady side causes the plant cells on that side to grow more so it bends toward the light.
