Auxins are the plant hormone which is synthesized at the shoot tip.

It helps the cells to grow at the root tips.

When a tendril comes in contact with a support, auxin stimulates faster growth of the cells on the opposite side, as a result of the tendrils coil around the support.

Answer:

Explanation:

When the tendril comes in contact with the support ,then the auxin present in its tip moves towards the region which is away from the support. Auxin promotes the growth of plants . So due to the presence of more auxin in the side away from the tendril grows faster( becomes longer) than the side which is in contact with the support and makes the tendril to twirl around the support.
