bases effect acid in a very Rapid way as whenever a base is mixed with acid a reaction occur and it makes the solution neutral if the base amount is same as the acid one.

1- strong acid+weak base= acidic salt
2-Weak acid+ Strong base = basic salt.
3-strong acid + strong base = neutral salt
4-strong base+weak acid = basic salt
5-weak base+weak acid = neutral salt.
