How do birds find directions when they migrate? Give atleast four ways.

Answer:
1.Even the nocturnal birds use the position of the sun at sunset to know their position. Nocturnal birds also use the stars. This has been proved by letting birds fly in a planetarium and changing the stars' position. Another tool is the earth's magnetic field (earth's north and south magnetic poles).
2.Galvanising is a method of rust prevention. The iron or steel object is coated in a thin layer of zinc. This stops oxygen and water reaching the metal underneath - but the zinc also acts as a sacrificial metal . Zinc is more reactive than iron, so it oxidises in preference to the iron object.
3.Cocoons are collected and kept under the sun, or boiled, or exposed to steam. This helps in separating out the silk fibres. The process by which silk thread is separated from the cocoon is called reeling the silk. Then, the spinning of silk fibres into threads is done.
