Birds ( belonging from class Aves) have WINGS , which are provided by the Nature.

These wings help them to insulate their body and help to keep them Warm..

After these wings are modified for the purpose of Flying..

but it is the wings which help them to keep themselve warm.

And.. They store fat during the short days of winter to keep themselves warm during the long nights.

While a steady food supply is important during the cold winter months, the birds also need to conserve their energy and heat. Small birds like chickadees and kinglets can drop their body temperatures by up to 15 degrees F at night with an adaptation called “regulated hypothermia.”
