Buddhists use meditation to transform themselves
and to move beyond the distractions of the world to see the true nature of things. And it works. Clinical evidence shows that mindfulness meditation – in which the practitioner focuses on his or her breathing – improves cognition and emotional control, and can also reduce blood pressure, decrease stress, anxiety, and depression, help with insomnia, and even slow the aging of the brain. Loving-kindness meditation – in which the practitioner focuses on developing unconditional kindness and love – is useful for dealing with anger control issues, marital conflict, and the challenge of providing long-term care to a relative or friend. To get the benefits of meditation, you'll need to prepare get in the right frame of mind, find a quiet place, and practice regularly.
Method One of Three:
1) Pick the time that works best for you.
2) Make sure you are not too tired.
3) Wear comfortable clothing.
4) Find a quiet place.
5) Make sure you will not be interrupted.
6) Sit in a comfortable position.
7) Relax your body.
8) Set a minimum time you will meditate.
9) Understand why you are meditating.
Method Two of Three:
1) Focus on your breathing.
2) Allow thoughts to come and go.
3) Learn to deal with common distractions.
4) Increase the length of your meditation.
Method Three of Three:
1) Use meditation to train your mind to be kinder.
2) Begin this meditation after practicing mindfulness of breathing.
3) Arouse feeling of loving-kindness.
4) Focus on the feeling.
5) Radiate feeling of love.
Hope it may help you !!!!!
