In human beings the carbohydrates are digested by the enzymes called SALIVARY AMYLASE and PANCREATIC AMYLASE. Fats are emulsified( the process of breaking down of large fat globules into smaller fat globules by bile juiice ) by the bile juice and digested by PANCREATIC LIPASE. Proteins are digested by PEPSIN and TRYPSIN.

Digestion of protein begins in our stomach with the aid of gastric juices. Through the action of a group of potent enzymes from the intestinal lining and the pancreas, digestion continues in the small intestine. From there, amino acids are absorbed into the bloodstream and transported throughout your body.
