Plastic wastes

Explanation:

Plastics are non-biodegradable substances. They cannot be broken down into simpler compounds by the micro-organisms. So, we can avoid using plastics whenever possible or dispose them off responsibly.

(a) Plastic wastes block drains and sewers causing waste to pile up and create a foul smell in the area. Drain water stagnates and causes pollution and leads to spread of disease.

(b) Animals like cow or even sea animals like fish and turtle after affected by plastic waste. They consume these wastes and suffer from indigestion and other ailment. Sometimes plastic wastes like rings get caught in their body parts and constrict them causing deformation and even death.
