Chemical fertilizers do not allow the growth of friendly microbes in the soil.
chemical fertilizers reach the river and lakes through the rain water and they disallow the aeration of water which might affect the oragnism to take oxygen.
it may reach the ground water through percolating and contaminate the groud water which cannot be used by human beings. In punjab people in rural areas are mostly engaged in agriculture and they oftenly use these fertilizers which might cause the problems listed above.
