How do ciliary muscles of human eye help in focusing distant as well as near objects?

ciliary muscles work is very elastichable
work
when light rays come from far point
ciliary muscles thin and elongated so that eye lens could also thinner
whereas light ray coming from near point ciliary muscles becomes broader so that eye lens can also become broader and thicker as shown in diagram
