CO moves out and in of the cell by DIFFUSION...while water moves in and out by OSMOSIS through a semi-permeable membrane...diffusion is the process of flow of substance from high to low concentration..nd Osmosis is nothing but the substances get transferred through a semi permeable membrane from higher concentration to low concentration...

Co2 and water move in and out of the cell due to the presence of semi permeable membrane found in the cell.
Co2 moves in and out due to the process of diffusion and water moves in and out of the cell due to the process of osmosis.
