How do communicable diseases spread? Suggest ways to prevent the following diseases:

a) Tuberculosis- TB is spread through the air from one person to another. TB germs are passed through the air when someone who is sick with TB disease of the lungs or throat coughs, speaks, laughs, sings, or sneeze and that germs goes to a healthy person.

PREVENTION-

1.Take all of your medicines as they're prescribed, until your doctor takes you off them.

2.Keep all your doctor appointments.

3.Always cover your mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze.

4.Wash your hands after coughing or sneezing.

5.Don't visit other people and don't invite them to visit you.

b) Athlete's foot-Athlete's foot is contagious and can be spread by contact with an infected person or from contact with contaminated surfaces, such as towels, floors and shoes.

PREVENTION-

1.dry your feet after washing them, particularly between your toes – dab them dry rather than rubbing them.

2.use a separate towel for your feet and wash it regularly.

3.take your shoes off when at home.

4.wear clean socks every day – cotton socks are best.

c) Cholera- Cholera is a bacterial disease usually spread through contaminated water. Cholera causes severe diarrhea and dehydration.

PREVENTION-

1.Make sure to drink and use safe water to brush your teeth, wash and prepare food, and make ice.

2.Wash your hands often with soap and safe water

3.Use latrines or bury your poop; do not poop in any body of water.

4.Cook food well (especially seafood), keep it covered, and eat it hot.
