There are five major medium through which the micro organisms spread. They are,

  • Air is present everywhere and the disease causing organism maybe suspended in air and infects a healthy person.
  • Direct contact or indirect contact with the infected person can transmit the disease
  • Through the objects of the infected person.
  • Through sexual contact.
  • Through saliva, urine or body secretions.
