How do displacement and distance differ?

Displacement 1) It is a vector quantity.

2)It is the shortest distance between initial and final position

3)It can be zero.

Now,Distance

1)It is a scalar quantity.

2)It is the length of the actual path covered by an object.

3)It can only be positive.
