How do electrons move along a wire to generate current in wire ?

The conductor runs a circular path from the power source, through the resistor, and back to the power source. The power source moves the existing electrons in the conductor around the circuit. This is called a current. Electrons move through a wire from the negative end to the positive end.

when a battery is connected across the conductor .... the battery has two terminals positive and negative .... the charge of electron is negative and due to this it experience a attractive force towards the positive terminal of the battery ... thus it moves and makes electric current in the circuit
