Elements which are not stable try to attain their stability by combining with any other unstable element and making a chemical bond.

- In the case of most elements, the nucleus is very stable.

But in some cases, like in case of Uranium, being a radioactive element, it is very unstable.

It means that the nucleus of the uranium atom has a very low binding force.

Hence, Uranium loses protons and neutrons so as to attain stability.
