- In the case of most elements, the nucleus is very stable.
But in some cases, like in case of Uranium, being a radioactive element, it is very unstable.
It means that the nucleus of the uranium atom has a very low binding force.
Hence, Uranium loses protons and neutrons so as to attain stability.
