Embryology is the study of the development of an organism from egg to adult stage. Tadpoles of a frog resembles fish more than a frog.
There are remarkable similarities in the embryos of diffent animals from fish to man. The resemblance is o close that at an early stage even an experienced embryologist would find it difficult to distinguish one embryo from the other.
This strengthens the view of the existence of a common ancestor from which all the organismic forms have evolved.
Hope this helps you.
