At first fats are broken down by bile juice into small globules making it easier for enzyme to act on it later. It takes place in liver. In pancreas there is pancreatic juice present which contains enzyme lipase. Enzyme lipase breaks down emulsified fats. The complete digestion of fats is completed in the small intestine which contains a number if enzymes to convert fats into fatty acids and glycerol.
