- By the process of beta-oxidation, fatty acids are first converted to acetyl group.
- With the help of connecting link, acetyl group is converted to form acetyl Co-A.
- This acetyl Co-A enters as a substrate in Krebs cycle.
● Extra information -
- Krebs cycle is common pathway for oxidation of carbohydrates, proteins & fatty acids.
- It is also known as Citric Acid cycle or Tricarboxylic Acid (TCA) cycle.
