it helps in no soil tillage, increase water infiltration, reduce soil temperature and soil erosion, increase soil-organic matter accumulation, enhance nutrient addition and improve soil structure. It gives sustainable agriculture. cover crops are of three types They are grasses, legumes and non-legumes broadleaves.
