The plants which bear flowers are known as flowering plants.Plants which do not bear flowers are categorized as non-flowering plants e.g mosses, ferns.
Majority of the plants in the plant kingdom produce flowers.Though flowers are generally considered as structures which are colorful, beautiful and consist of petals, small flowers which are not noticeable at first glance are also found in herbs and grass varieties.
Flowering plants can be divided into two categories as dicotyledons & monocotyledons.
Flowers are specially structured for reproduction .
