Forests are important to make rain and keep life going on earth.
If trees are clearcut over large areas, rains slow or stop downwind.
We breathe in oxygen and give out carbon di oxide ; the trees on mountains and in forests help us provide oxygen for our living and dissolve carbon di oxide content in the atmosphere.
It maintains global level warming.
Thus forests are necessary for living.
