Forests play an important role in controlling soil erosion. They are rich in vegetation. The trees and plants in the forests hold the top most layer of soil firmly by their roots. This doen't allow the wind and water to carry away the top most layer of soil easily♥️

As there are large number of vegetation in the forests. So this vegetation helps in the holding of top layer with the roots
