Hi there,

Deserts frogs are adaptive to environment and they use to bury themselves in daylight for protecting themselves from scorching heat of a sun. They dug deep for cool place and wait for prey for hunting.

Answer:

Desert frogs burrow underground during the dry months, in order to escape the searing sun. They can stay underground for many months while they wait for the next rains to fall. ... Most desert frogs only reproduce in response to a significant rainfall event. Females can then lay eggs in temporary pools.
