Greenhouse gases affect our environment by absorbing high amounts of heat from the sun.

Greenhouse gases trap heat from the rays of the sun and warm the atmosphere. As the amount of greenhouse gases are increasing in the atmosphere, they are trapping more and more heat. In this way greenhouse gases affect the environment.
