HEYA!!!

HERE IS YOUR ANSWER,

> The swelling of guard cells due to absorption of water causes opening of stomatal pores while shrinking of guard cells closes the pores.

> Opening and closing of stomata occurs due to turgor changes in guard cells.

> When guard cells are turgid, stomatal pore is open while in flaccid conditions, the stomatal aperture closes.

HOPE IT HELPS YOU,

THANK YOU.☺️☺️

It is maintained by potassium ion concentrations

during daytime, the chloroplasts in the guard cells photosynthesise which leads to production of ATP .This atp is used to Actively pump potassium ions of the adjacent cells into guard cells .Increased potassium ion concentration in the guard cell makes them hypertonic ,so,more water is drawn in and guard cell become turgid and open out the stomatal pore

Reverse happen at night .The potassium ion leak out thus removing water from guard cell and making them flaccid and this leads to closure of stomatal pore
