hey friend ..
we know that in intercept form the equation of line having intercept A and B on X axis and Y axis respectively then it is written as.
X/A + Y/B = 1
. i.e BX + AY = AB .......1
and in general form a equation of line having slope M is written as ..
Y = MX + C
then equation will be
AY = AB - BX
or Y = AB/A - BX/A
slope of the line is ... -B/A
