that's how you will form friends by saying a simple hey or a compliment about them like " I love your handwriting". Also I learned that if you guys have recess, talk to them during recess! helps A LOT. It may be awkward at first but that's NORMAL. then once you talk to them for a bit even if you just talk to them once, get their email. so much easier to text then talk.
