it is very easy
Two values are said to be in direct proportion when increase in one results in an increase in the other. Similarly, they are said to be in indirect proportion when the increase in one results in a decrease in the other.

in that example if no. of man increase the no. of days to white wash a building decrease this is in INVERSE PROPORTION

in that example if no. of typists decrease no. of pages type in a day also decrease this is in DIRECT PROPORTION
