how do I work the algebra problem

-6+5(-1-b)=19

=> -1(-1-b) = 19

=> 1+b =19

=> b = 19-1

=> b =18

  - 6 + 5( - 1 - b) = 19 \\  \\  =  >  - 6 - 5 - 5b = 19 \\  \\  =  >  - 11 - 5b = 19 \\  \\  =  >  - 5b = 19 + 11 \\  \\  =  >  - 5b = 30 \\  \\  =  > b =   - \frac{30}{5}   =  - 6
