If there is a 3rd world war it will be because of water . There is a scarcity of water in the world .Increasing number of industries is exerting pressure on fresh water because- 1.excessive use of ground water is leading to ground water depletion. 2.pollution by industries which may be toxic is excreted in water leading to deterioration in the quality of water. 3.extensive usage of water in the industries to generate electricity

Answer:

The increasing number of industries havve made water scarcity worse by exerting pressure on existing freshwater resources.

  • The industries require power to run them. Much of this power comes from hydro-electric power.
  • Multiplying urban centres with large populations and urban lifestyles have aggravated the problem of water scarcity.
  • Today in India, hydroelectric power contributes approximately 22% of the total electricity produced.
