How do insectivorous plants like pitcher plant obtain its nutrition ? ​

Insectivorous plants,absorb nitrogen and phosphorus from their animal prey through their leaves specially modified as traps. Thus, at simplest, insectivorous plants trap animals and absorb nutrients from the trapped prey.
