coleoptera and lwpidoptera species attack crops in both in field and in store. crop damage by lepidoptera is only done by the larvae.

Insect pests attack crops by generally three main ways :

1 ) They suck the cell sap from various parts of the plant.

2) They cut the root, stem and leaf.

3) Boring into stems and fruits.
