Answer:-

Ionization:-

Ionization refers to the reaction in which the polar covalent compounds are converted into ions in water.

For example:-

Hydrogen chloride is a polar covalent compound. It do not conduct electricity in gaseous state and pure liquid state. But when HCl is added to water it ionize into H+ and Cl- ions.

Dissociation:-

Dissociation refers to the separation of ions which are already present in electrovalent compounds or ionic compounds.

For example:-

When ionic compound NaCl dissolved in water the ions Na+ and Cl-gets separated and the solution conducts electricity.
