ps: writing the answer in short pls elaborate....alagu, helped Jumman's aunt by giving her justice.Just because Jumman was his friend, Alagu didn't let Injustice happen; and he, being a Panch, asked Jumman to do the needful. and have the aunt justice this created a block between both the friends. they became enemies. later on, (when there was a case b/wn samjhu sahu and Alagu) jumman being the head Panch, gave justice to Alagu and forgot that they had a fight. thus....

Both Jumman and Alagu maintained the dignity of their roles as judges because when they were nominated as the head panch, they knew that they have to prove themselves worthy of the role given to them so they decided to forget their foes and friends and made a righteous judgement.
