Latitude
Tropic of cancer divides India into two halves , the Southern part lies in the tropical zone and has moderate climate . The northern part of India lies in the Sub- Tropical Zone and has extreme climate (very hot summer and very cold winter)

Altitude
India has altitude variations ; From the Himadri (Himalayas) to the Eastern ghats.
As we know that the temperature decreases with altitude (lapse rate) temperature at peaks is low.

LATITUDE:      latitude affects the climate of a place in different. places close to equator receives more sunlight while farther to equator receives less sunlight.depending on our latitude we have prevailing winds that play a crucial role in determining the climate of a place.this greatly affects the heat and pressure distribution of our earth.

ALTITUDE:         altitude is a high one which is above sea level.it affects the climate by bringing higher elevation and cold clmate.
