Explanation:

  • heart receives de- oxygenated blood from all over the body in the right atrium which is the upper right chamber.
  • Valves get opened and the blood flows towards the right ventricle which is the lower right chamber. The remaining blood in right atrium is pushed down because of the pumping i.e. contraction and relaxation of heart.
  • Then, right ventricle contracts pushing the blood into the pulmonary artery that carries blood to the lungs where CO2 present is exhaled out.
  • Then, the pulmonary vein carries oxygenated blood from lungs to the left atrium which is the top left chamber of heart.
  • there, due to contraction and relaxation of the walls, the blood gets into the left ventricle which is the bottom left chamber of the heart.
  • Again due to pumping, blood is pushed into the aorta that carries blood to all the parts of the body.
