Longitudinal location- Earth takes 24 hrs to cover 360 longitudes so, it takes 2hrs to cover 30°. Hence there is a time lag of 2 hrs between Gujarat and Arunachal Pradesh.
Latitudinal location- As we move from equator towards the poles, the duration of day starts reducing. So, days are longer in Tamil Nadu than Jammu And Kashmir.
