We can never see a thing in itself as Kant the philopher rightly said. We are dependent on our sensory knowledge which in turn is invariably conditioned by our mind. Mand is a bag of thoughts present and past , therefore it's no wonder our view is always coloured by the glasses we wear.
Religious conditioning is a major factor as brain washing starts early enough. The beliefs are extremely difficult to get rid of.
Our memories also influence our perception ; if a particular man of a religion committed some thing unpleasant to you, seeing any other person of that religion evokes the past experience from memory and will not let you to judge indefinitely and in unbiased way ; what you presented to your own mind is always coloured in this way. All our cultural influences and experiences similarly affect our judgement and knowledge. We cannot be without our mind and the mind cannot be without recording and recollecting the memories.
