1. When he again did self pollination of the plants of F1 generation then he found that 3 plants are tall but 1 plant is dwarf. So from here he got the point that there are both the genes are inside the lea plant but here tallness is dominant and dwarfness is recessive.
2. Mendel observed that, when peas with more than one trait were crossed, the progeny did not always match the parents. This is because different traits are inherited independently – this is the principle of independent assortment.
