How do mendel's experiment show that traitsmay be dominant or recessive?

Mendel proved that all the characters are only of the two forms either dominant or recessive. dominant are those characters which appear and recessive are those which are supressed. they contain both the genes of father and mother. ir just depends on chance whether the dominant one is of mother's or father's!
