How do metal carbonate or metal hydrogen carbonate react with acid? Give their chemical equations.

Na2CO3 + HCl gives us NaCl + H2O+ CO2
NaHCO3 + HCl gives us NaCl+ H2O+ CO2
in this way metal carbonate or metal hydrogen carbonate reacts with acid to give salt, water and carbon dioxide
