How do mineral deposits or reserves turn into mines

Heya!
Good question!
Well, minerals are every where on Earth.. but some areas have a lot of minerals deposited on their surface or underneath the surface.
But the thing is why do they become mining sites?
As we know, In our day to day life, the requirement/demand of Minerals for various tasks (like to manufacture chemicals, etc.) are high.
Thus sites having a high amount of mineral deposits become mines....
(In this process, minerals are collected and sold out for various purposes...)
Hope it helps
