how do monocots differ from dicots ?

Only one cotyledon is present
Two cotyledon is present

Meghas: there are also many difference between them like in monocotyledon there is presence of smooth stem,trimerous flower,adventitious root,parallel venation and in dicotyledon there is presence of hairy stem,pentamerous flower,tap root and reticulate venation.
