How do monuments and buildings help to know about past Times

we just remember that who and why made this building and monuments.. ...... in such a way it help us to remember past...... bt not till many years because very soon it get destroy..... by some natural phenomenon........

Monuments contain the things which tell us about how the emperor lived and who ruled on that emperor and it also tell us about the buildings made in past the material use in making the building and many more things it contains in the scripture, paintings and on the walls of the monunents
