The shape of muscles depends on ability to adapt to external forces, when placed under high demand, the
generate great strength and power and maintain durability. Muscle is a soft tissue and their cells contain protein, filaments of actin and myosin that slide past one another, producing contraction that changes both the length and shape of the cell.

The muscle cells changes their shape by contraction and relaxation by utilizing the energy in the form of ATP which we get from respiration.

Muscle contraction is done by the impulses sent by the Central Nervous System to the muscle cells.

Muscles relax also by an impulse of the CNS which brings them to their original position.

This way they can move.

Thanks.
